Free Level 3 Information, Advice or Guidance (IAG) In Person Course

Learn in-person at our Nottingham Training Centre.

For many employers, trusting that employees can offer accurate information, advice and guidance (IAG) - and understand what can be shared legally and professionally – plays a significant role in recruitment and promotion decisions. 

If you give information, advice or guidance as part of your job or aspire for a position of this type, this qualification aims to build your skills in signposting, referrals, record keeping, confidentiality and communication/listening techniques. 

The qualification is perfect for career advisors and those supporting the personal development of employees.

What will the course cover?

  • Establish communication with clients for advice and guidance
  • Assist advice and guidance clients to decide on a course of action
  • Manage personal case load.

Upon completion of your Level 3 Certificate you have a number of new opportunities:

Have you lived in the UK for 3 years?

If the answer is yes you might be able to complete our courses. To be eligible you must also meet the following criteria:

  • I currently live in England
  • I was aged 19 or over on 31st August 2023
  • I have lived in the UK or EU/EEA for the last 3 years*
  • I am actively seeking employment OR earning below £25,000 annually**

Register for an IAG course today

I am aged 19 years old or over. I have lived in the UK or a European Economic Area (EEA) Member state for the last three years or are an Individual or Asylum Seeker with certain types of immigration status*. I am actively seeking employment and claiming an unemployment benefit ** OR I am earning under £22,308 annual gross salary and be able to commit to the course.
