Study to become a Teaching Assistant/Daytime Support Assistant

We're holding an information/enrolment day in The Hub, Nottingham on Friday 28th June for a great opportunity to learn key skills in order to work towards becoming a teaching assistant or daytime supervisor in schools.  

About the Course? 

This course will give learners the foundation knowledge needed to develop their understanding of the school environment; child development; keeping children and young people healthy, safe and well; and communication with children and adults.

  • Understand schools as organisations
  • Understand how to keep children and young people healthy, safe and well
  • Understand how to communicate with children, young people and adults

Course Dates: 3rd July - 19th July (Excluding weekends and bank holidays)

Can I access a short course?

To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:

  • I currently live in England
  • I was aged 19 or over on 31st August 2023
  • I have lived in the UK or EU/EEA for the last 3 years*
  • I am seeking employment/claiming unemployment benefits or earning below £22,308 annually**
